How to set up &
access your IRS
account

Why do you need an IRS account?

An online IRS account gives taxpayers secure access to important tax information in one place. You can review payments, access account records, retrieve tax return and wage transcripts, and manage certain IRS notices or payment plan details. For many small business owners, this account is also a useful tool for staying organized and gathering documentation during tax season.

If you work with a professional on tax preparation, accounting support, or year-round advisory services, having access to your IRS account can make it easier to review records, confirm payment history, and respond quickly when questions come up.
